12 JUNE - WORLD DAY AGAINST CHILD LABOUR
Every 12 June, Education International (EI) and its member organisations worldwide celebrate the World
Day against Child Labour. It is an occasion to highlight the global extent of child labour and raise
awareness on the situation of millions of children, girls and boys, working across the globe.
It is also an opportunity for us to make our students aware of problems of the global world. Thus, this year I have prepared a short video for them: Freedom from Child Labour.
We have had a debate about this issue in the classroom and, later, I have asked my students to create a virtual poster answering to the question "What can be done to end child labour?".
